Yazmin was born and raised in San Jose, California. In high school she had a strong interest in music and singing, as participated in her school's drama club. After graduating, she studied cosmetology, waited tables part time at a "Hootsters" restaurant, and was an exotic dancer at a local strip club, under the name "Valerie". While being a struggling student, she met a man online who propositioned her and offered to pay her for sex. She accepted the offer and found it to be easy money. This led her to try legal sex work and she applied to work at the "Rabbit Ranch", a brothel near Carson City, Nevada. The name "Valerie" was already taken, so she decided to go by the name "Gigi" after a character she played in her high school production of "Miss Saigon", who was a prostitute. After a successful run at the Rabit Ranch,  Gigi was curious about working near a bigger city like Las Vegas, to see if the pay might be bigger. She eventually found her way to The Hen Ranch (Later renamed "Slutopia Ranch") where her name "Gigi" was reworked to become the name "Gizelle". Upon learning of her interest in singing, and after a short impromptu audition, Madame Eden asked her to be part of Eden's Slutz.

"Gizelle" is of East Indian and Pakistani decent, although she is often mistaken for being Latina. She learned to speak some Spanish in High School and will often portray the role of a Latina with clients. Her spicy and saucy personality earned her the nickname "Picante Slut".
