Kayla grew up in a suburb outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, and was raised in the Mormon church with her father being a pastor. She was brought up in a polygamist family where her father had 3 wives. She was the second youngest of 5 full blooded siblings but also has several other half siblings.  In Highschool she was an active cheerleader. After graduating, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada with her then boyfriend to start a new life, against her parent's wishes. She auditioned and was chosen to be a cheerleader for the Las Vegas Bucks football team. After the season, she took up a job as a casino cocktail waitress at the Paris hotel on the strip, and also decided to try work in the legal sex industry. This caused tension with her boyfriend and their relationship ended, since he didn't want to date a "prostitute". She eventually found her way to Slutopia Ranch where she was given the courtesan name "Chantelle". Eden asked her to joint Eden's Slutz, due to Chantelle's past experience as a cheerleader, and performing in front of large groups of people.

Chantelle considers herself to be fairly intelligent, but she discovered that clients tended to like her more when she puts on a "dumb blonde" persona. Chantelle's favorite color is pink, which is her favorite color to wear. She also drives a pink convertible, earning her the nickname "Barbie Slut" as clients often describe her as being a life sized living doll.
